The six SA20 franchises have largely shaped their squads for Season 5, with several major international names either joining new teams or returning to familiar surroundings. Mitchell Marsh, Joe Root, Sam Curran and Phil Salt headline the latest group of players confirmed for the competition.

The SA20 2027 season is scheduled to begin on January 17 at St George’s Park, while the Final is set to be played at Newlands on February 21. Before the tournament begins, franchises still have to complete their squads at the Player Auction on October 7.

A total of 19 squad positions remain available across the six teams. Durban’s Super Giants and Paarl Royals have already filled their rosters, while Joburg Super Kings, MI Cape Town, Pretoria Capitals and Sunrisers Eastern Cape still have positions to fill.
